Designed by Ergo Architecture and Interiors the residence is located 50 metres back from the ocean cliffs overlooking Wedding Cake Island in South Coogee.

The construction process began with the demolition of an existing 1940’s style single storey residence. Excavations on-site were conducted predominately in rock with the 22 metre in-ground lap pool having to be carved.

The house design features a single 9 metre high by 23 metre long off-form concrete wall through the spine of the building, suspended concrete floors throughout, exposed structural steel elements and customised zinc panelling to the walls and eaves.

Other key aspects to the success of this building are commercial double glazing (argon filled core between two layers of 10.38mm glass), curved plasterboard ceilings, solid hardwood flooring, decking and wall panelling.

The project was completed in 11 months at the value of $2.3 Million
